Judith Rizzio

Join Stephanie O’Dell, founder Celebrate The Gray, in conversation with Judith Rizzio. Listen in on this engaging podcast discussing fashion via thrifting, understanding and supporting the LGBTQIA community and empowerment of the 50+ woman. Her mission is to make fashion accessible for everyone.

Judith’s love affair with fashion started in the Bowery in New York City. At the Salvation Army, she would dig through bins to find vintage clothes that she could tear apart to create something new. Judith’s been on the hunt ever since.

She’s spent more than forty years collecting, creating, and styling. Judith has run nonprofit thrift stores, costumed high school theatre shows, and will stop at any garage and estate sale in her path.

After years of styling family, friends, and even strangers that walk up to her in stores and ask, “You look like someone who has style, does this look good on me?”, Judith decided to turn her fashion passion into action and create her business Out Of Our Closet.

Now Judith uses her experience to help people counter the privilege of fashion to make it accessible and fun. She’s helped teens with school shopping, the gender non-conforming newly discovering their style, and a 96 year old pushing her fashion envelope.
