The Bias Cut

Join Stephanie O’Dell, founder Celebrate The Gray, in conversation with Jacynth Bassett, founder of The Bias Cut. Listen in on this intergenerational discussion around age inclusion and the power of the 50+ woman.

Jacynth Bassett is the award-winning Founder and CEO of The Bias Cut – the first age-inclusive independent fashion online boutique, and global movement / community Ageism Is Never In Style®.

After studying Law at Cambridge, Jacynth used her minimal savings to found The Bias Cut, having grown frustrated at seeing women, like her mum, being treated as invisible or irrelevant by the Fashion Industry, largely due to their age. From independently developing, launching and running The Bias Cut in 2016, today it has over 35 labels, a global customer base, and multiple celebrity fans.

Named by Global Health Ageing as an ‘Ageism-Fighting Trailblazer’, Jacynth herself has swiftly become recognized as a leading pioneer of style at every age, regularly writing, speaking and commentating on the topic. She also aids and consults charities, organizations and entrepreneurs tackling ageism, including being the lead business partner for the new research project “Re-Dressing Ageism In Fashion”.
