Join Stephanie O’Dell, Celebrate The Gray and Jeannie Ralston, co-founder of NextTribe, for the latest Brand Fifty podcast. Hear Jeannie’s inspiring story of co-founding NextTribe.com and why she made a career pivot, launching a digital lifestyle magazine and network for women over 45. She explains that women should feel empowered to AGE BOLDLY, take risks and say yes to new challenges.

A veteran magazine journalist, Ralston has brought together some of the top women writers in the country to publish informative, inspirational and often irreverent articles about how to “Age Boldly,” which is the magazine’s tagline. In addition to publishing stories, NextTribe hosts international and domestic travel for women and produces a series of live events in various U.S. cities called NextTribe Out Loud, which celebrates the power and creativity of women in this age group.

Ralston has been named a 2019 Folio Top Women in Media honoree for her entrepreneurial work with NextTribe; she organized and spoke on a panel at SXSW 2019 about the growth of women entrepreneurs at midlife and beyond. In 2018 she was named Digital Influencer of the Year by Austin Woman magazine.

Ralston’s work as a journalist has been published in National Geographic, Life, The New York Times, Conde Nast Traveler and many other magazines. She was a contributing editor for Allure for 8 years, for Ladies Home Journal for 3 years and Parenting magazine for 8 years.

Her years growing lavender in rural Texas was the subject of her memoir, The Unlikely Lavender Queen, published by Broadway Books; her e-book, The Mother of All Field Trips, was about the three years she and her husband homeschooled and traveled with their sons. She lives in Austin, Texas.
