On March 16th, 2020, most of the United States was placed into a mandatory shelter-in-place due to Covid-19. Like many people around the world, Brandi Susewitz and her husband Eric were impacted financially by the shelter-in-place. Their income had been slashed by fifty percent, and then the very next month her husband was laid off.

Brandi spent the next two weeks in bed filled with fear and anxiety. She was worried that she wouldn’t have an industry to work in any longer. After all, no one was buying new office furniture and the projects where she had her pipeline had been put on hold or cancelled.

She considered changing her profession altogether but knew that the office furniture business was where her expertise was at and so decided after weeks of depression and anxiety, to look for ways in which she could turn her expertise into a business of her own.
